Loadshedding

Eskom, the South African electricity public utility, has announced that loadshedding will remain suspended until 16:00 on Sunday.

This decision has come as a result of sufficient generation capacity, including emergency reserves, and the expected return of units to service.

Anticipated lower demand into the weekend has also played a role. Eskom assures that it will closely monitor the power system and provide updates on the week ahead on Sunday.
