Eskom
Eskom, the South African electricity public utility, has announced that owing to improved generation performance, loadshedding will be suspended until 16:00 on Monday. This news will come as a relief to citizens who have been experiencing regular power outages in recent weeks.
However, Eskom has also indicated that from 16:00 on Monday until 05:00 on Tuesday, Stage 2 loadshedding will be implemented. This means that there will still be some disruption to the power supply during this period.
Interestingly, loadshedding will then be suspended from 05:00 until 16:00 on Tuesday, creating a pattern of suspending loadshedding during daylight hours and implementing Stage 2 loadshedding during the night.
It is important for citizens to take note of this schedule, as it will be repeated daily until further notice. Eskom has also assured that they will communicate any significant changes that may occur.
