Loadshedding
Due to insufficient generation capacity and the need to replenish emergency reserves, Eskom has implemented Stage 5 loadshedding from 5am this morning until 8pm tonight. Following this, Stage 6 loadshedding will be implemented from 20:00 until 05:00 on Thursday.
This pattern will be repeated daily until Saturday morning, with Stage 5 loadshedding from 05:00 until 20:00 and Stage 6 loadshedding from 20:00 until 05:00.
Eskom reassures the public that they will closely monitor the power system and communicate any changes to loadshedding if necessary.
