Eskom Loadshedding
Following a slight improvement in generation performance and adequate emergency reserves for the week ahead, Eskom has announced the implementation of Stage 2 loadshedding from 4pm today until 5am on Monday. This is a step back from the previously communicated Stage 3 loadshedding.
However, Eskom has stated that Stage 3 loadshedding will be implemented from 5am on Monday until 5am on Thursday, 18th January 2024. The power utility has assured the public that it will continue to closely monitor the power system and communicate any significant changes.
