Community Protest at Tumahole Eskom Substation Over Loadshedding Issue

Eskom, the South African electricity public utility, announced on Tuesday that while some generating units have returned to service since Sunday, there have been some delays.

As a result, Eskom has been forced to implement loadshedding measures in order to conserve emergency reserves.

Starting from 05:00 until 16:00 on Wednesday, Stage 2 loadshedding will be in effect. This will be followed by Stage 3 loadshedding from 16:00 until 05:00 on Thursday.

This pattern of Stage 2 loadshedding in the morning and Stage 3 loadshedding in the evening will continue daily until further notice.

Eskom assures the public that they will closely monitor the system and promptly communicate any significant changes that may occur. It is essential for consumers to stay informed and be prepared during this period of loadshedding.
