Eskom Apologises for Sebokeng Outages, Restoration Expected by Afternoon

Eskom has announced that technicians are currently attending to a supply interruption affecting customers in Sebokeng Zones 3, 7, and 10. The utility company confirmed that the restoration of power is expected by 13:00 today. The outage, which has inconvenienced many residents, is part of ongoing maintenance and operational efforts by Eskom to ensure reliable electricity supply.
Eskom apologised for the inconvenience, stating: “We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause.” The power utility also reassured customers that technicians are working diligently to resolve the issue within the stipulated timeframe.

The Sebokeng power outage comes amid broader challenges faced by Eskom as it grapples with infrastructure maintenance and load management nationwide. Sebokeng, located in Gauteng, has experienced several similar interruptions in recent months due to system upgrades, equipment failures, and increased demand on the grid.
