Eskom says that Stage 1 loadshedding will be implemented from 5am on Monday morning until further notice.
The power utility said this is possible due to the lower demand for electricity during the day, reducing the reliance on emergency generation reserves.
“We appeal to the electricity consumers to continue using electricity sparingly.”
