The Economic Freedom Fighters Student Command (EFFSC) celebrated a momentous victory in the recent University of Cape Town (UCT) SRC elections, outshining their rival student wings, including the Democratic Alliance-aligned DASO, ANC-aligned SASCO, and ActionSA.
Renowned for its academic excellence and top-ranking status in South Africa, UCT’s election results have marked a significant shift in student representation.
In an impressive show of support, the EFFSC secured a decisive 10 seats within the SRC, clearly demonstrating their growing influence among the student body. DASO managed to secure three seats, while SASCO and ActionSA student wings both garnered one seat each. This outcome highlights the diverse political landscape at UCT and the dynamic nature of student activism on campus.
