EFF Unveils Newly Elected Central Command Team

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have successfully elected their new Central Command Team (CCT) during the party’s 3rd National People’s Assembly (NPA), held at Nasrec Expo Centre in Johannesburg from 12 to 15 December 2024. With Julius Malema re-elected unopposed as Commander in Chief and President, the assembly has seen significant policy discussions, leadership elections, and organisational resolutions.

As the conference enters its fourth and final day, delegates are expected to deliberate further on critical matters before the assembly is officially declared closed.

On Day 4 of the EFF’s 3rd NPA, delegates will focus on:

1. Contestation of Ideas – Debates on key political and policy issues.
2. Report on Commission Outcomes – Feedback and outcomes from various commissions held throughout the conference.
3. Constitutional Amendments Proposal and Adoption – Delegates will discuss and adopt proposed amendments to the EFF constitution during a closed session.

Later in the day, the EFF Secretary General, Marshall Dlamini, will officially declare the outcomes of the 3rd NPA, followed by an acceptance and closing address by President Julius Malema. The closing session will be broadcast live on the EFF’s official social media platforms, ensuring public engagement.

The party has encouraged South Africans to tune in for the address, which will highlight the EFF’s vision and renewed strategies ahead of the 2026 general elections.

The highlight of the 3rd National People’s Assembly has been the uncontested re-election of Julius Malema as President, along with the announcement of the party’s Top Six officials:

1. Land Redistribution Without Compensation – Continuing to fight for expropriation of land to address historical injustices.
2. Nationalisation of Key Sectors – Advocating for the nationalisation of mines, banks, and other critical industries.
3. Free Higher Education – Ensuring access to free, quality education as part of empowering South African youth.
4. Job Creation and Economic Emancipation – Addressing unemployment and poverty through policy interventions and industrialisation.
5. Strengthening Black Political Unity – While reaffirming its independence, the EFF emphasised unity among black-led political organisations to dismantle systemic inequalities.
