In a letter to Police Minister General Bheki Cele, Edgar Legoale expressed his concern over the closure of Tumahole Police Station during nighttime hours.
Legoale emphasized the importance of the police station operating 24/7, highlighting instances where elderly women were turned away due to safety concerns. He deemed this situation unacceptable, criticizing the behavior of the police and their failure to serve the community.

The response from Free State Provincial Commissioner Lt Gen Baile Motswenyane was swift and promising. Motswenyane instructed the District Commissioner to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. Additionally, she assured the Tumahole community that the station would continue to provide services round the clock, while prioritizing the safety of everyone involved. Motswenyane emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that service delivery would not be compromised.
With the intervention of the Provincial Commissioner, it is hoped that the issue at Tumahole Police Station will be promptly addressed and resolved, ensuring that the community receives the necessary support and protection they deserve.
