ANC Free State Provincial Chairperson Mxolisi Dukwana
The African National Congress (ANC) in the Free State, under the leadership of Provincial Chairperson Mxolisi Dukwana, is set to hit the streets of Welkom in the Lejweleputswa District with a comprehensive door to door campaign tomorrow, 7 April 2024. This strategic move forms a critical part of their pervasive election campaign across the region, with a keen focus on galvanizing support ahead of the provincial and national elections slated for 29 May 2024.
Polediso Motsoeneng, the Provincial Secretary, elaborated on the campaign’s primary goals saying, “This campaign is part of an ongoing Free State election campaign and intends to encourage the community, particularly the youth, to vote during the upcoming Provincial and National election.” He stressed the importance of the youth demographic in shaping the future political landscape of the Free State.
The campaign not only aims to drum up support but also to build a closer rapport with the community. “The leadership, will, during the campaign, give the community feedback on the progress made since the ANC came into power and resolve issues that require immediate attention. All members of the PEC, candidates and current MPLs will be deployed throughout Matjhabeng,” disclosed Motsoeneng.
Outlined as a day of extensive engagement, the campaign schedule is as follows:
- Provincial Chairperson, Mxolisi Dukwana will be at Ward 17, End of Age Church (Thabong far East) from 11H30- 15H30.
- Deputy Provincial Chairperson, Ketso Makume is scheduled to visit Ward 31, Holohelo Primary School (Thabong Central) during the same hours.
- Provincial Secretary, Polediso Motsoeneng, will conduct his campaign at Ward 14, Thusanang Crèche (Thabong far East).
- Deputy Provincial Secretary, Dibolelo Mance, will engage with the community at Ward 16, Setshabelo Primary School (Thabong far East).
- Lastly, Provincial Treasurer, Mathabo Leeto will be present at Ward 30, Thabong Primary School (Thabong Central).
The province has been a hub of political activity, highlighted by the visit of ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa to Eagle Christian Church in Ward 15, Mangaung, Free State on #GoodFriday. Additionally, last month’s campaign trail spearheaded by ANC Deputy President Paul Mashatile in Welkom Ward 13 and Phutaditjhaba, Thabo Mofutsanyana District
