Deputy President Mabuza Visits Free State for Provincial Launch of Women’s Month

Deputy President David Mabuza says processes are underway to finalise a service level agreement between Eskom and the Maluti-a-Phofung Local Municipality in the Free State, on the collection of debt owed to the power utility.

The Deputy President of South Africa, David Mabuza will be visiting the Free State Province for official provincial launch of women’s month on Thursday, 4 August 2022 in Thaba Nchu.

Mabuza will be accompanied by the Premier of the Free State, Mme Sisi Ntombela and the MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development Thembeni Nxangisa . 

The Provincial Government will be hosting a women’s day dialogue for female farmers on the day.

“The program serves as the official launch of women’s month activities by the province. About 500 female farmers will be in attendance and will be afforded an opportunity to engage on a variety of challenges facing women in agriculture including access to funding, access to markets, training and capacity building amongst others.”said Provincial Government in a Statement.

“The department of Agriculture and Rural Development has prioritized female projects for the 2022/ 2023 financial year and as a result there will be a handover of letters of support to 31 female projects amounting to R20 200 000.00.”
