The Department of Tourism has issued a caution to stakeholders and the public to avoid accepting emails from its domain due to a significant information and communication technology (ICT) service outage. This disruption has affected the department’s telephone lines, emails, and website services.

Widespread Disruptions

“The Department of Tourism would like to inform stakeholders and the public of a service outage that is causing widespread disruptions to telephone lines, emails and website-related services. Our ICT team is working diligently to restore all services,” the department announced in a statement on Wednesday.

The department has assured the public that they are making every effort to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. However, until the services are fully restored, they advise caution in dealing with any communication from their domain.

Impact on Services

The outage has caused significant disruptions, affecting how the department communicates with stakeholders and the public. This includes interruptions to telephone services, email correspondences, and the accessibility of the department’s website. Such outages can have far-reaching impacts, disrupting the flow of information and causing delays in the department’s operations.

Restoration Efforts

The department’s ICT team is working tirelessly to identify the root cause of the outage and implement solutions to restore full functionality. They have promised to keep the public informed about the progress and expected timelines for the restoration of services.

“Updates will be communicated once services have been restored,” the department stated.
