PRETORIA – The City of Tshwane has announced a planned 12-hour water supply interruption scheduled for Wednesday, 5 February 2025. The maintenance work aims to upgrade the water supply network along Catherine Street in Arcadia, affecting several surrounding areas.
Details of the Planned Maintenance:
• Date: Wednesday, 5 February 2025
• Time: 08:00 to 20:00
• Affected Areas: Parts of Arcadia, Hatfield, Hillcrest, Menlo Park, Colbyn, and Brooklyn
City spokesperson Lindela Mashigo stated, “On Wednesday, 5 February this year, the City of Tshwane will carry out planned work to the water supply network in Arcadia along Catherine Street. This essential work is scheduled for 12 hours. The City of Tshwane apologises profusely for the inconvenience caused due to the abovementioned work.”

Residents in the affected areas are advised to take the following steps to mitigate the impact of the water interruption:
1. Store Sufficient Water: Collect enough water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene purposes to last the duration of the shutdown.
