Carling Knockout

The highly anticipated Carling Knockout quarter-finals are set to take place on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd November 2024, with football fans across South Africa gearing up for some intense matchups. The Premier Soccer League (PSL) officially confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times for all four matches, which will feature some of the country’s top teams.

One of the most awaited fixtures of the round is the clash between South African football powerhouses Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns, which will be held at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. This match promises to be a blockbuster event, kicking off at 18h00 on Saturday, 2nd November. Both teams are known for their rich history and rivalry, with Chiefs looking to assert dominance over Sundowns, who have been a formidable force in domestic football this season.

The quarter-final weekend will begin earlier on the same day, with Richards Bay FC taking on Cape Town City FC at King Zwelithini Stadium in KwaZulu-Natal. Kick-off for this match is scheduled for 15h00. Richards Bay will hope to leverage their home advantage to outplay Cape Town City, who have shown resilience throughout the tournament.

On Sunday, 3rd November, fans will witness two more exciting encounters. TS Galaxy FC will go head-to-head with Magesi FC at Mbombela Stadium, with kick-off set for 15h00. TS Galaxy, a team known for its cup exploits, will face a Magesi side full of confidence after knocking out Orlando Pirates in the previous round.

The final quarter-final will see Marumo Gallants battle against defending champions Stellenbosch FC at Dr Molemela Stadium in Mangaung, also at 15h00. Stellenbosch is determined to retain their title, but Gallants have shown they are more than capable of causing an upset.

Ticketing and Broadcast Information

Tickets for all the quarter-final fixtures will be available at TicketPro outlets across the country, with prices starting at R50 for general admission. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early, as demand is expected to be high for these eagerly awaited matches.

The matches will also be broadcast live on SuperSport, ensuring that fans who cannot attend in person won’t miss any of the action. Additionally, the semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of 9th and 10th November, with the grand final set for 23rd November 2024, rounding off what promises to be a thrilling tournament.

This year’s Carling Knockout has already seen its fair share of surprises, with major teams like Orlando Pirates falling early in the competition. The quarter-final stage is expected to deliver more excitement as the remaining teams vie for a spot in the semi-finals and, ultimately, a chance at glory in the final
