Carling Black Label All-Stars Triumph over Stellenbosch FC in Thrilling Carling Cup Final
In a thrilling Carling Cup final match at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, the Carling Black Label All-Stars, led by Mfundo Vilakazi of Kaizer Chiefs and Ashley du Preez, emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Stellenbosch FC.

The star-studded All-Stars team, selected by the fans and featuring players from the Orlando Pirates DStv Diski Challenge team, put on an exciting display of skill and talent in Polokwane.
Stellenbosch, the reigning Carling Black Label Knockout champions, put in a strong effort, but their goal-scoring opportunities went awry throughout the match. Despite a scorching start and several close calls, they were unable to match the performance of the All-Stars.
Vilakazi’s incredible free kick early in the game put the All-Stars ahead, and du Preez’s successful penalty kick extended their lead. Despite Stellenbosch’s efforts, including a late goal from Mervin Boji, they were unable to overcome the All-Stars’ solid defense.
The match was not without its dramatic moments, including outstanding saves from Itumeleng Khune and a red card for Athenkosoi Mcaba. In the end, the All-Stars’ skill and resilience secured their victory in a hard-fought final.
