Controversial Nigerian televangelist Timothy Omotoso has been rearrested, just days after being acquitted on all charges of rape, human trafficking, and sexual assault. Authorities have confirmed the arrest but are yet to provide further details on the new charges or the reasons behind the development.
Omotoso, who leads the Jesus Dominion International church in South Africa, had previously faced a high-profile legal battle that spanned several years, drawing national and international attention. His acquittal sparked widespread public debate, especially among gender rights activists and victims’ advocacy groups.
