[BREAKING NEWS] SABC Head of News, Phathiswa Magopeni has been fired with immediate effect

The SABC has fired Group Executive for News and Current Affairs Phathiswa Magopeni with immediate effect citing a breakdown in the trust relationship between her and the public broadcaster.

Magopeni faced a disciplinary hearing last month where she was found to have been responsible for the airing of an interdicted Special Assignment episode.

Phathiswa Magopeni says she will challenge #SABC‘s decision to dismiss her in the court of law. Magopeni says she believes proper processes were not followed.
