Acting Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka
The Office of the Public Protector, currently led by Acting Public Protector Kholeka Gcaleka, has made it clear that they do not welcome the return of the Suspended Public Protector, Adv. Mkhwebane, unless there is communication from President Cyril Ramaphosa stating otherwise.
Gcaleka has stated that Mkhwebane’s suspension remains in effect until further notice. Despite this, Mkhwebane has issued a statement announcing her intention to resume work tomorrow.
