Botshabelo – The South African Police Service (SAPS) Provincial Spokesperson, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele confirmed that 28 year-old male and 24 year-old female were arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs and for possession of counterfeit money on Thursday.
Makhele confirmed Selosesha Flying Squad police officials reacted on an intelligence driven operation around Section G, Botshabelo on 9 September 2021 at about 11:30.
Police officilas visited to the given house and upon searching they found 21 packets Crystal Meth, 15 packets of Khat, one stone of Khat, 16 Mandrax tablets, one packet of Mandrax powder and 124 grams dagga.
While the search continues, an R 100 counterfeit note was confiscated. Police further found cash amounting R1 707, 50.
Speaking to Free State Central News, Makhele said community members of the province are urged to continue working together with police to take drugs off the streets.
The two suspects are expected to appear before Botshabelo Magistrates’ Court soon.
