By Thys Khiba – The African National Congress (ANC) has instructed their legal team to investigate and advice them on options that they might have to allow 20 members of the party IPC in the North West to vote in the provincial elective conference.

This follows the decision by the North West High Court to prohibit members of the party IPC from voting in the 9th provincial conference taking place in Rustenburg.

“We are hopeful that our intervention will find a positive outcome. Despite this decision,  the conference is continuing because the court didn’t interdict the conference but rather the voting powers of IPC members,” ANC national spokesperson Pule Mabe said.

Meanwhile, the party IPC spokesperson in the province, Kenny Morolong told Free State Central News that they’ll defend the participation of the IPC in the elective conference for credibility purposes.

“We do not want just to defend the participation of the IPC. We want to defend the credibility of conference,” Morolong said.
