Today, ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa was set to deliver a speech at a church service in Mbombela and then attend an ANC cadres forum in Bushbuckridge.

However, the National Spokesperson for the ANC, Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri , announced that Ramaphosa had to cancel these appearances in order to address pressing emergency matters facing the nation. In his absence, ANC Deputy President Paul Mashatile has stepped in as Acting President to represent Ramaphosa.

In addition, ANC officials have been deployed throughout the province of Mpumalanga to engage with the community and party members, with the goal of bolstering the ANC’s presence in the region
