The Free State ANC PEC and Fezile Dabi REC Find Themselves at Odds on Filling Key Position
In a challenging turn of events, the ANC Fezile Dabi Region has chosen to defy a letter issued by ANC Free State Provincial Secretary, Polediso Motsoeneng.
The letter sought to nullify the region’s decision to appoint Phillip Kganyago, an ordinary REC member, as the Acting Regional Secretary and appoint Isaac Ngozo, the current deputy regional secretary, for the role.
The ANC Fezile Dabi Regional Executive Committee convened an exclusive and pressing meeting on Thursday to address the matter at hand.
Reliable sources confirm that the majority of members in Victoria De Beer’s Faction, within the REC, are fully supportive of their decision to appoint Kganyago as the Acting Regional Secretary.
As we await further developments, Victoria De Beer, the Regional Chairperson, is expected to communicate these decisions to the PEC, shedding light on Fezile Dabi’s unwavering stance.
In the meantime, the members of the ANC PEC deployed to the region, Kenalemang Phukuntsi and Castro Thabana, reportedly stated during the REC Meeting last night that they were not aware of the letter issued by Motsoeneng. They further emphasized their dedication to stand alongside Fezile Dabi regarding this issue in the upcoming PEC meeting.
