In a recent episode of MacG’s popular podcast, Ace Magashule, shared his experiences during the apartheid era and shed light on his involvement with the late Tom Letsoenyo, former Ngwathe Mayor, and Tate Makgoe, former MEC for Education in the Free State.
Reflecting on the hardships endured during that time, Magashule revealed the brutal torture he and his cousin, Sam Magashule, faced at the hands of the authorities. Despite being surrounded by 22 heavily armed police officers, only two individuals, including Sam, were ultimately arrested.
Additionally, Magashule acknowledged his collaboration with the late Tom Letsoenyo, the former Ngwathe Mayor, and Tate Makgoe, the former MEC for Education. He spoke of their collective efforts to operate undercover and resist the oppressive regime. In emphasizing the oppressive nature of apartheid, Magashule emphasized the immense suffering endured by those fighting against it.
In a separate incident, Tate Makgoe was apprehended under Section 29 after being found in possession of arms.
