Bloemfontein – Members of the South African Police Services have found a body of an unknown African woman who was declared dead at the scene, at the Bloemfontein guesthouse in Parkwest street, on Friday.
According to the members of the SAPS, before her passing, the woman allegedly told the guesthouse staff members that she is from Kroonstad. It is also reported that she was allegedly attending a funeral in the Eastern Cape province.
“The female who is about 39-years-old, arrived at the guesthouse on Thursday alone, requesting to rest,” said SAPS Spokesperson Detective Sergeant Diphaphang Seale.
“The deceased had no form of identity with her and no luggage.”
It is also confirmed by Detective Sergeant Seale that on Friday, members of the unknown guesthouse tried to knock at her rented room around 10h00. It was an usually experience for the staff members which has driven them to call police.
Circumstances that led to her passing are still investigated and will be clear after the post-mortem. Police have confirmed that up to so far no family member or friend has been able to collect and identify her.
Detective Sergeant Seale confirmed that an inquest docket was opened and is under investigation.
