By Thys Khiba – A 20-year-old male suspect who facing charges of murder is expected to appear at the Standerton District Court this morning, Wednesday 01 February in connection with the murder of Thapelo Boesak Motloung (51).
This comes after police officials were called to a scene on the outskirts of a farm in Standerton.

“According to the report, on that fateful day police were called to a scene on the outskirts of a farm in Standerton. Upon arrival members found the lifeless body of Mr Thapelo BoesakMotloung (51) with some injuries which suggests that the victim was severely assaulted,” Police Spokesperson said Brigadier Selvy Mohlala.
The incident took place on 09 January 2023 around 01:00.Motloung was certified dead at the scene by medical personnel.
A murder case was opened and police immediately began with their investigation.
After collecting information police managed to arrest the suspect.
“The astute members worked tirelessly around the clock to solve the case where they collected some valuable information which led to the arrest of the suspect in Standerton on Monday, 30 January 2023 around 16:15,” said Mohlala.
